... the 2mg dillaudids to cut the pain. would this equate to a 4 mg tablet dosage. One of my psych doctors said it would not be. Sounds odd, anyone comment on this. thanks
Taking 2 of the 2 milligram tablets of dilaudid is the same thing as taking 4 milligrams total of the dilaudid. Not sure what the psych doctor is talking about but if you have any question you could always consult the pharmacist. They are the experts on the formulations and dosages of medicines.
Dear Bunnies... yes, 2 mg of dilaudid x another 2 mg does = 4 mg. But, for whatever reason, taking 2 mg with some time in between before taking the next 2 mg, is less effective in regards to pain relief than taking the 4 mg together at the same time. That being said... I would let your doctor know what you are doing. He may need to prescribe 4 mg instead of 2 mg. This is between you and your physician. He does need to be aware of what is and what is not working for you.
You must be in quite a lot of pain... I am so sorry for that. I hope that you soon feel better...
