I know to drink plenty of water and eat right and have studied how to fight this crap but tend to wake up with and go to be d with the fast heart and just feeling like crap with all the usual feelings. The doctor put me on lisinopril for high blood pressure but I think its my anxiety. The doctor has considered paxil or lexapro and Im trying to find out which is the better medicine with least side effects. Im not a pill person so would appreciate any comments. You are doing well by not taking as much of the antianxiety meds, but as far as the antidpressents go, you just have to try one for a few weeks to see if it is right for you. There are a bunch of them now and some work on 2 brain chemicals and some on one. You should try talking to a therapist also. I have never seen just the medicine work. A therapist will help alleviate your fears and teach you new ways to respond to them. You might also try a brief walk to calm you. You'll be surprised how much that helps. Hope you feel better. Alot of people feel like you do right now.
