Golimumab is used for the treatment of moderate to severe active rheumatoid arthritis in combination with methotrexate.
The dose of golimumab is 50mg once per month by subcutaneous injection.
The dose of methotrexate for moderate to severe arthritis by mouth is 7.5mg once weekly and adjusted weekly according to response to a maximum dose of 20mg weekly.
Methotrexate and Golimumab have the potential for serious toxicity. If you are unsure of what doses you are giving / taking it is important that you double check with your specialist.
