Really the best treatment isn't a pill at all, but is physical therapy with a strict daily exercise program and resting of the knee. There is a good article at:
If you still need pain relief, you might benefit from a low dose of an opiate like hydrocodone. Just keep in mind that it is an opiate and is addictive so use as a last resort. I would try the physical therapy with a high dose of ibuprofen if you can tolerate it and you aren't taking other meds that would interact.
