... I have never missed a pill until recently when i missed four pills during the first week of the packet. i had unprotected sex during this time and was wondering my chances of becoming pregnant?
Yes. There could be a chance. As to how much of a chance it is hard to say. the first and second week are the most critical times to have missed pills and missing 4 is taking a big chance. You should be using a back up method for the next week or two. Continue taking your pills. If your period does not come after you have finished the week of the inert pills you can try a pregnancy test. There is also the chance you did not conceive. You will just have to wait and see. Call the prescriber of the pills to see if he/she wants you to change the way you are taking the pills. Sometimes they will give you a different schedule for awhile to help make up for the missed pills.
There is a chance that you might be pregnant. The only way to know is to wait for your period and take a test. You may or may not have been ovulating at that time. Most women ovulate roughly 14 days after the first day of their last period. If that ever happens again, then just double up on bc by using condoms until your next cycle.
