leg are really killing me. I have been on every pain killer known and became addicted, so i put my self in a rehab and I am now on suboxone. The suboxone is keeping my off pain killers but I can't take the pain anymore.I don't know what to do. I want to go back to pain killers but don't want to get hooked again. It's been 15 mounths I was thinking i could handle not getting addicted again because I been able to cope with the pain. I don't know how much longer to go before I talk to my pcp. What should I do??
i'm so sorry for your pain poobie. have you tried to mix suboxone w/
anti-inflamatory such as heavy duty naproxin-celebrex? Probably not much help there from me. **IF YOU HAVE CONTACTW/DR KNOWING YOUR SITUTATION-I can't imagine said dr cant give you something that may aleviate your pain (which isn't opiate) It's my understanding there are now drugs for killing severe pain that aren't opiates, addicting, etc.
WHAT MG OF SUBOXON YOU TAKING? CAUSE i know for me at 24 mgs in past -it really assisted me w/paid in muscle(severe ovulation pain, headaches, etc) but your pain is so much severe that I can't help but think perhaps you need stronger dose of subs-even if temp? to give you more time to heal inside. **I'M NOT MEDICAL PROFESSION BUT TRULY HOPE YOU GET THE RELIEF YOU NEED ** Good luck & best advise i think is let your dr know & perhaps you will be surprised of the pain meds-that wont take you back to addiction of those f-in opiates.
Peace to you Poobie- Feel better
I rarely suggest this but you are a perfect candidate for methadone. This is a excellent pain killer and lasts a long time. It is very affordable and is almost impossible to grow tolerant to. Try talking to a pain specialist about this as your regular doctor will likely be scared off by the mere mention of methadone. I was on truck loads of morphine, dilaudid, heroin you name it for almost 25 years after 4 lumbar surgeries. I have been on methadone for almost 8 years and have actually come down in my daily dose... Good luck... Dave
I got to give it to mpvt,he is right,i have been on suboxone for about a year and it has saved my life.im sorry about the pain but he is right methadone really might work for you.it is a strong pain killer and it will keep you from getting addicted again to the pain meds.please let us know how it goes once you becide what to do.best of luck
