I had high hopes for it, but haven't really noticed the pain relief I expected. Will it just take some time? Should I ask for an increase? Also, I'm already overweight, and am very concerned about this. Does the Benefit outweigh the risk?
I know what you mean about high hopes. In early November, I started on 75 mg twice a day. At first, I noticed a great improvement in energy and pain relief (I still had to take 9 ibuprofen a day). After a 2 or 3 weeks, I noticed that it wasn't working as well, so I called and had it upped to 150 mg twice daily. Again, after a couple weeks, the pain got worse... I decided to 'withdraw' from the drug. So this Tuesday, I took a 75 mg (I still had a few left) in the morning and the 150 mg at night. The next day I was 'hurtin' for certain.' My sister, who has a pharm. degree, told me not to stop... So on Wednesday, I went back to my regular dose of 150 x 2... Oddly enough, it was working better... go figure??? I have a dr. appointment in early January, so I'll wait and see what my dr. says. I'd say keep taking it for awhile...
I hope this info helps you.
