Babies have acid reflux causing them to scream. One of them has a host of problems including asthma like symptoms. Both spit/throw up formula. Their doctor perscribed Zantac. Concerned if it is safe and what are possible side effects in infants if any?
Yes, Zantac been safely used in infants for around 20 years. It is one of only a few acid reflux medications that is FDA approved to treat infants. Side effects are rare at recommended doses.
