... doctor .Should I be worried? It's not like I'm doing anything illegal.I'm running out of time .Please give me some answers quick cuz I need this job really bad .Thanks!
You answered your own question. You are not doing anything illegal. On the job app, did it ask about any meds you were on? Is this job considered "safety sensitive?" xanax is usually out of your system within 2 days. I had taken a valium at night and had a test the next day. It did show positive but it was extremely low. If the test were done a few hours later, it would have been negative. Be honest with your potential employer, always the best route to take. Good luck on getting the job!
hey Toade I am with Christine on this one., if you are being prescribed this med. by a dr. you have no need to worry., I think most employment drug tests are for street drugs. I am laid off now but when I took mine the people from the lab called me. I gave them my doctors name and faxed a release form to the front desk. I got the job no other questions were asked. This is what some folks might call a high risk job even because I am an animal care specialist and was working in a local animal shelter. Sometimes I had to handle dogs as large as 120lbs.Some of these animals had (sadly) been abused before they arrived at the shelter, so quick thinking and a calm disposition were a must. I see no reason why you woud be denied your job on that basis Good Luck Fall Queen
