You will only know if you feel the imitrex/sumatriptan working. I received some comps from my neuro and when I used it (belly) it didn't work. After talking with my WHNP she suggested that with the needleless delivery system you have to choose a site that's not too muscular and not too fat or the medication does not get into the blood stream to work properly. Best place is either the thigh or top of buttock/hip. I will try again but honestly thought it was more painful and bloody than the old fashioned needle syringes - and so loud that it scared me too.
