Rebel1981,
This is DEFINITELY a known side-effect that some people experience with Celexa. You need to talk with your doctor ASAP because it will probably continue or get worse! For some reason, this medication has been known to increase depression, suicidal ideation AND suicidal attempts in some people. I hope this helps.

I just wanted to say Rajive is 100% correct. I have been on 17 medications over my lifetime for anxiety / depression now. And many have that side effect. Call your doctor right now and start tapering down at their recommendation.
Thanks, for agreeing with me.
Thanks for your advice
Pleasure, stay well & safe!
Rajive is exactly right, you should always follow your doctor's advice. Medications never affect two people the exact same way. Side effects can be different in every individual case. Always report any of these to the doctor who places you on a medication that causes you to have unusual side effects. They are better suited to help you understand, and make the right choice to change your meds to something that is better suited for your individual needs.
Thanks!!!
