as if that isnt enough i also have disc degenertive disease, arthritis, 2 disc bulges, and a mild facet disorder. and im only 23 years old, how much worse can it get. i want to feel like i did 4 years ago.
I have the same thing but many other back defects brought on due to a car wreck when I was 9. I take zanaflex, a muscle relaxer 1 in mourning and 2 at night. I have gotten so used to them they don't make me sleepy. My pain medication is time released ms contin. I have found if you can find any medication for your symptoms that is time released or extended release works so much better. You get the effects of the medicaion throughout the day without that "fog feeling".
You are a very busy girl so I am sure that stress also aggrivates the muscle spams and pain.
Maybe you could ask your doctor about some time released medication to help with your physical symptoms and he may also suggest an anti-depressant. I was changed from efferxor xr to cymbalta because it is "supposed to help with pain", not sure it does. Hope at least some of this info may help... I know about the pain deal and it breaks my heart when someone shares their experiences expecially someone so young. Best wishes and hope you find the help you need... kim
