Does ne 1 know of a good combination of OTC meds that works for u and So i could try cause it seems to only keep getting worse.
Be sure you are using OTC meds carefully. Sometimes when taking meds like acetaminophen and ibuprofen, especially on a daily basis, you can get rebound headaches which are caused by overuse of the OTC meds. When you dont take the meds you get a headache. It usually takes a few days for the rebound headaches to go away so many people end up taking more medicine which then leads to a viscious cycle. Try using either heat or ice to your neck and forehead when you get a headache. Some people are helped best by applying heat and some find ice more helpful. Lie down in a relaxing position in a darkened room and apply the ice or heat. Sometimes a small cup of black coffee helps to open the blood vessels and relieves headache. I find sometimes a cup of Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime herb tea helps a headache, even a migraine.
I was taking Vicodin after Vicodin once for a migraine and my husband made me a cup of Sleepytime and it really helped more than the pain pills! Good Luck in finding something that helps. Headaches are miserable. Be careful with the OTCs so you dont end up in a rebound headache cycle.Use them as little as possible.
When I started premenopause I got a lot of migraines and now I beleive menopause is starting and the same is happening. I have had migraines since I was in my twenties. I had to finally get a prescription for Axert 6.25mg. That is what works for me. Good luck! Take care.
