... 1/2 a tablet per day, to 3 x 1/2 tablet per day. I was a bit tired to start with but better now, and it seems to be really helping my muscle spasms... HOWEVER... I have been getting very constipated, and no laxative seems to work! Should I cut down my dose?
hi, I have been on baclofen for many years now. I take 20mg, 2x per day
and have not experienced any constipation. I know that some of the
side effects of baclofen are, back pain; constipation; diarrhea; dizziness; drowsiness; fatigue; headache; increased salivation; muscle weakness; nausea; vomiting. You have to rmember that everyone reacts different to
same meds, but if constipation persists you may want to consult with your doc. A stool softener, NOT a laxative, may help as well.
Having been on Baclofen since the late 90's, I never had constipation due to this drug. My current script is 40 mg 3x's a day. I agree with msdeems that meds, just like ms, affects each of us differently. Meds also interact with each other causing side effects.
Definitely talk with your doctor before you alter dosing!
