I used Norco 10/325 couple years back, I tried and did go off the Norco for about 2 years due to insurance complications. I have tried everything natural and in between. I started my Norco treatment 2 months ago and I am at a high dose which is needed. My question is what is another option because I am not gettin the same relief as I used to a couple years ago. I don't know if something should be added for sr relief and bring down the Norco to as needed just for breakthrough pain? here is a few things, CFS, CPS, deg. disk. chronic spasms, fibromyalgia, knee problems facing surgery, arthritis/ Inflamatory conditions at times, periodic loss of function, and the list goes on.
Are you on any nerve pain meds? I know Cymbalta, Lyrica and Savella can help a lot with fibro pain. I agree with going to a pain management doc - with all your problems you need to be on a long-lasting medication, and not have the ups and downs in pain ranges that you have with taking a short-acting medication. You might consider the Fentanyl patch, Opana ER, Methadone - there are more. Best wishes to you -
Hi jlagrotta, Wow, you could be talking about me! I have all the same problems and a few more... as others have mentioned, you need to be seeing a Pain Management Doctor, and I agree also that you should look into the Duragesic Pain Patch. You will have a lot less side effects with it than the Opana ER or the new Oxycontin OP. I like the patches, because when I wake up in the morning my medication is already working and I don't have to take something and wait for it to start working before I can start my day. Our 3 year old granddaughter lives with us, and I don't have time in the mornings to wait for my pain medication to start working! Good Luck
