i have another problem i had tooth pulled on bottom like almost 2 months agowent to dentist monday this week i had swelling and pain will the morphine help with pain so far it hasnt i believe i have an abcess in the gum it is painful any advice you can give will help thank you
Is this like MSContin or extended release/controlled release morphine? Some people take Lortab with extended release morphine. Did you just jump from Lortab to Morphine? If so, you may want to see how you do on the morphine for several days for a blood level to build. Taking too much opioid at once can cause respiratory depression and can be fatal so you have to be careful, especially if you are not opioid tolerant. This is probably a question you should ask of the prescriber of the morphine. If the Morphine is a short acting or IR formula I will say no dont take the Lortab with it. But again, clear it with your Dr.
