Horrible symptoms (i.e. severe headaches, lack of sex drive, extremely tired and horrible mood swings) I'm debating on whether or not I need to go ahead and make an appointment to have it removed especially since I haven't had a period since June 18th and all pregnancy tests have come back negative.. My period has been normal from about a month into me getting it up until about 3 months ago so this is not my normal. My husband says that it makes me "evil". Any suggestions?
My best suggestion to u is to def. go and see your doctor about this. I am sorry to hear u have been having problems after all this time. I am a male so I don't know tons about female birth control, but I am one of those that knows quite a bit about it thanks to my psyc. degree :) Mirena, like other birth control devices, can produce effects on ppl and not always in the beginning. These effects def. sound severe enough to warrant an appointment to find out if u have to have it removed. Anyone with a history of pelvic inflammatory disease is def. more prone to have problems, and Mirena can cause PID, but this is a rare side effect, but possible, so I would def. make that appointment. I wish u the best of luck. God Bless!
So I am not the only feeling this way. I've had mierna for almost a yr. I have insomina, mood swings, lack of libido, tiredness, also ACNE!!! I am getting my removed November 3rd. I have had these symptoms ever since I got this put in. Finally I figured it was the, "mierna!"
I did some research n I found out about the crash from it as well after it is removed. Made it scared to take it out. But I want to fill like me again.
