... given up. I think that it relates to something wrong with one of my organs rfelated to digestion. SAny ideas for test--already had the liver and pancrease tests???
I could suggest a traditional remedy with nil side effects; please take some seeds of Fennel and brown them on a pan over the gas burner and add granulated sugar to it.
You could eat spoon full of it to curb diarrhea, please do let me know if this works.
All the best, my best wishes with you, take care.
My sis in law had that problem for years & her Dad was a doc & they never did figure it out, but she was an alcoholic too. Have you ever had food allergy tests done? I have food allergies, & a lot they make me break out, but they can cause intestional problems like you cannot believe! Constipation, diarrhea, pain etc... I have lots of other allergies too, & was told one time by an allergy doc I shuld just live in a bubble! Ha! It's not a laughing matter tho'; when you live in the bathrrom. Been there done that! I like to eat so always refused the food tests til about 14 years ago. My biggest one I have a problem with is corn! There is corn syrup or corn starch or corn meal in just about every pridyct every made with man's little hands in there! Got to keep those Iowa farmers happy ya know.
Anyway, when I cut out all the products that had mike proteins(another one & love & miss my ice cream) or corn anything listed as an ingredient & cook from scratch so I know what's in it, I'm ok. I was so happy last week when I was at my favorite store & saw in big ole' letter on my favorite bread, NO CORN SYRUP ADDED. I grabbed the bag so fast, I think people thought I was nuts! Almost jumping up & down in the aisle! Anyway, I get home, like a dummy didn't read the ingredients first, there at the very bottom was listed corn starch. I was so upset, I wrote them a letter! Why would you bother to advertise you took out cornsyrup ( which amounted to 10 calories & 5 grams of sugar too) but leave in corn starch... Anyway is just a thought if you haven't been down this road yet. Also comes to my is celiac disease. Check it out above just type it into the search box.Welcome to the site too by the way, & I wish you well, in solving your body's crime...
PPHarper, were you ever tested for Celiac Disease? I had uncontrollable diarrhea all my life and finally got tested for Celiac when they did an Endoscopy/biopsy the UPPER half of the digestion tract. It will only show up there! It's really worth looking into, most people don't know they have it and almost all the packaged foods we eat contains gluten except for veggies, fruit etc. It's not a hard test either, NOT like the Colonoscopy, so go for it, good luck, mindy
