... behavior therapy and relaxation techniques and vitamins and changing diets. nothing seems to work. i don't know what triggers my anxiety but it is ruining my life. i have lost my husband because of it and now i am slowly losing the quality of life. what do i do (besides medicine)?
Hi how are you? thats a dumb question i put myself into treatment because i was addicted to pain pills and benzos it was a horrible time in my life i have been sober for 4 months now and feel so much better i also have gad, adhd and hi blood pressure because my mind never shuts down and it makes my body keep running it sucks anyway i think you have to be on medication and you just need to be on the right one i take lyrica it sounds crazy but i guess the doc new what he was doing it does ease my mind i take aderall for adhd that also kinda calms my mind to make me focus vitamins i take fish oil and a multi vitamin i think with time time and therapy you could eventually get off drugs but to be "normal" right now if its that bad you need to get on something i hope this helped
" i don't know what triggers my anxiety" thats the point of it being named generalized. but anyway if you doing all of those things and dont want to take meds then only thing left that i can think of is phsycotherapy and hypnotherapy may has some effect. if cognitive behavioral didn't work and your practicing it as much as you can, then the next step that a psychologist would recomend is medication therapy... sorry
(by relaxation i hope your doing meditation daily, possibly twice a day)
