I desperately need an anti-depressant but my doctors seem unable to locate one that I can take that doesn't include dairy, soy, gluten, corn, yeast, silicon dioxide, carageenan and chemicals. I get other medications compounded at my local pharmacy (tramadol for pain) but I can't seem to find one that the drug companies will sell so this can be done. Please help! I am finding it harder and harder to get through each day.
hello Sylvangirl - i'm just curious if your doctor has ever mentioned Trazodone tabs over 300mg.'s for your depression. It is usually well tolerated and not one of the newer antidepressants. i'm not certain about all it's contents - but i thought it may be worth a try. i am also very intolerant of many medications - but i can take trazodone (lower dose) for sleep. I wish I could take something for depression... but so far i have been very unfortunate. do you have a support system?? married? friends and family? i have none here where i live. after my divorce i should've moved much closer to family - but didn't realize how difficult things would become for me. i just wonder how many of us suffering from chronic pain have a good support system. i wish you luck on your quest for a good antidepressant. also - i have been taking an herb called Rhodiolia Rosea that seems to help somewhat with my depression. I know this isn't a clear cut answer - but maybe something i've said may have helped. i long for a better day for all of us. thank you.
