I am being treated with Lupron but still experience severe constipation. Can Lupron cause constipation and is Lupron the right treatment for this?
Lupron does not cause constipation.
Lupron may, however, worsen endometriosis for the initial days of the therapy. This effect should subside, though.
In rare cases, Lupron may not work at all. So, it's important to check in with you doctor every 3 weeks for the duration of your treatment.
Alternatives to Lupron include: oral contraceptives & danazol. Typically, oral contraceptives are the First Choice for patients with endometriosis.
