I have been taking 7.7/750 vicodin for 7-8 years and it doesn't work anymore plus I'm taking way too many. Something time released would be nice. Confined to bed most of the time. By the way I'm in Riverside County, CA
Are you seeing a rheumtologist? They are the experts for fibromyalgia.
There are a few things you can do for yourself.
First, at night, take a hot bath with epsom salts. Soak about 15 minutes before going to bed. That will help you with pain and sleep. You have become tolerant to hydrocodone and are taking too much aceteminophen.
Also, have you ever had a sleep study? The fact you are in so much pain that you can't get out of bed says to me that you are not getting the deep delta sleep you need to regenerate your hormones to fight the pain signals of fibro and to heal your body.
A sleep study would confirm that as well as to test you for sleep apnea.
For sleep, you might want to try to take melatonin, 5HTP, and tryptophan. Also, I bet you are very low on vitamin D3. I take 5000units of D3 a day.
There are things you can try that are over the counter rather than prescription.
But do try to find a rheumatologist who knows and researches fibro. That is your best bet.
