is there anyone with this same problem
My husband is going on his 3rd cervical surgery. Although he uses the pain meds when needed, he despises the after affects. I shattered my mid spine and am 5 months post op. The meds work for me, but look forward to the day where I won't need them anymore! What is chronic neck strain? Two words... chronic and pain, I know well. I know how you feel it's just a different part of the spine. Good luck to you. I know I didn't quite answer your question directly, but I do know how you feel.
Hi Karen Thank you for adding me to your list of friends. I suffer from chronic cerivical and lumbar degeneration. If the percocet helps you dealing with this pain I can only take a guess that you are not suffering from any damage to the spine possibly the neck muscles are also involved. If the percocet helps try not to do anything to aggrevate the neck area. If you start feeling an uncomfortable feeling in the area be so thankful that you are receiving relief from the percocet and if you have not tried yet find a cervical type wrap that you can heat in the microwave. Do whatever it takes to keep the neck area relaxed but if something causes discomfort stay away and find some other method to keep the neck relaxed. Ask a therapist for something you could do and hopefully the strain will relax for good. Best of luck to you. Bnanaa7654
