I have C.O.P.D.and yesterday my Doctor prescribed metoprolol for my high blood pressure, is it safe?

It might be. If you use beta agonist inhalers like albuterol then chances are higher that you will NOT tolerate the metoprolol. If you do not use inhalers it may be worth a try at a low dose. On the other hand there are more selective betablockers like bystolic or bisoprolol. On the other other hand, why take a beta blocker for hypertension?
