I have been taking Darvocet, it has been recalled. My doc put me on Lortab. Is it comparable?

Darovcet contains propoxyphene. Propoxyphene has a narrow "therapeutic index", meaning that the drug reaches toxic levels easily (especially in the elderly). The UK have taken the drug off the market. The FDA considered removing it in 2009.

Lortab contains hydrocodone, a relatively safer pain medication

The lortab is a stronger medicine! It may make you a litte dizzy when first taking it! It also, is not as hard on your stomach as the darvocet may have been!
