would i be able to take pregabalin as well as citalopram?
Hello shish34. I ran a drug interaction on the two you mentioned and what I found is thats its not recommened that you mix the two. On the top of this page is a search engine. Just enter citalopram, then, scroll down to the bottom of that page for drug interactions. Click on that, and then enter the word pregabalin. It will then give you the details, and answer your question. I think that the pregabalin, is the drug that will give you the most trouble in regards to useing it as as in a combo. I don't believe it inter acts favourably with some of the various drug families, of psychiatric medications. You might ask your doctor and get her/him to give you thier thoughts on it. best to you.
Rather than pregabalin (Lyrica), I recommend you try Seroquel or Buspar for your anxiety. Neither are addictive and are very effective against anxiety. The seroquel will help with the depression as well. There is of course the possibility of using a benzodiazepine such as xanax or klonopin, but these are addictive and can lead to dependence.
