medication I hate taking so much
You can come off of this medication. No doubt about it! You have been on it way too long. No wonder you feel so bad! 10 years!? Personally, I would fire your doctor and find a good pain specialist. They have so many good pain control meds these days to help you. The sooner you find a specialist, the better. Please do not stop taking the hydro until you get in to see the new doctor. The last thing you need right now is withdrawal symptoms to add on top of your conditions. I sure hope you take my advice on finding a specialist. You have the right to live as pain free as possible! I wish you the very best!
You can do anything your mind and body will let you. I would taper off slowley as your body has become dependent on this drug everyday for the last ten years and you will have ill affects. No doubt. I would, like other folks have said, work with a doctor to make life easier or you could go cold turkey. But if you choose that route better have some time off planned and some supplies on hand. Stay hydrated. Drink lots and lots of fluid... Good luck to you... I wish you the best and you can do it... kimmie1 P.S. I do not know anything about your other health conditions so I would definitely check with the doc first...
