You need to stay on the Suboxone long enough to "heal" the brain receptors. My doctor recommends being on it at least 3 to 6 months. You will have to wean off the Suboxone but you need to be on it long enough to not go into withdrawals from the opiates once you stop. The Suboxone stays in the system for 3 to 5 days, so you won't feel the effects of the drop from 8 to 4 for a few days if at all, but as you reduce to the lower doses you will begin to feel some withdrawal if you go to fast.
I really recommend you stay on the Suboxone for longer than a few weeks. Are you getting it from a docotor? You need to be certain you can handle the cravings once you stop the suboxone. Have you thought about addiction's counseling? It will teach you how to deal with the temptation to use again which is bound to happen. Addiction is a mental as well as physical problem. Suboxone helps the physical but you still have to heal the mental.
I may not have helped, but please rethink your plan.
