maybe that my xanax could be blocking the suboxone.
gosh cant help much, but i took my first 8mg today and i dont feel right either, i have read on other forums the same issues. But then i read about the way to do this was a proper induction program. It came from robert, but by the time i read it i had already stated my induction with 8mg, he says 2mg per hour until you get stablized. I also read that benzo can be a killer with suboxone, be careful and don t take to much benzo. good luck man
no it does not block the xanax the ntrexone only binds to the opiate recepter, the feeling you get from xanax hits a whole different receptor.i also take klonipin and its working great for me.if you have any other questions..and dont forget to use the xanax as told dont abuse it cause people have died mixing suboxone and abusing xana..goodluck
Sorry you are not feeling right. Xanax or any other benzo shouldn't be taken with suboxone usually, they do make exceptions when people have seizures and are on lower doses than 16 milligrams. If you are still having withdrawal, there are some other meds like clonidine that can help. If you are just having some weird feelings, you are probably still adjusting to the suboxone. It took me a few weeks also. It is possible that you may need to lower the dose, talk to your doc and see what is recommended. Xanax shouldn't be blocking the suboxone, but, it can cause respiratory failure. Please call your suboxone doctor and let him/her know you are still having problems and be more specific, like, I am still having withdrawal, or I think I am having some side effects, so they can get you where you should be.
Ive been on suboxone for 2 years and now I am on a low dose subutex. I have went from 16mg bupe down to .5mg over the last 6 months. It took me a month or two to get my body to feel at equilibrium while on suboxone. There are side effects mine were mostly sleep related (too much and too deep sleep) but they are outweighed by a recaptivation of life manageability. Also if detoxing dont get off until you are down to at least .1mg. jum ping off at 1mg is a death sentence. the peak of stimulation is at around 4-8mg. Beyond that there is a minimal increase in opioid receptor stimulation, therefore going from 16mg to 4mg will be easier than 1mg to .5mg. I am a biochemist and a medical school matriculate so I am heavily researched on this subject. Ppl will tell you xanax is dangerous, well it's not on suboxone if you are opiate dependent. suboxone doesn't really depress our respiration so me taking xanax on suboxone is the same as a sober person taking it because my body fxns normally on suboxone.
Good luck and don't let yourself get in your own way to recovery.
