My 2yr old suffers with motion sickness in the car i can't even go to the local shop without her being sick i have been given Phenergan from my doctor, but i am worried about giving this to her in case this makes her very drowsy or doesn't work!
Well, if you don't want to give her the Phenergan, I know a simple solution. This may sound crazy, but ginger cookies can stop upset stomachs and motion sickness. I have no idea why, but I have talked to several people who swear by this. My own nephew used to have the same problem and someone told his mother about this remedy and it worked. Good luck.
right on, I agree, and phenergan will most likely make her sleepy, what mg is it? and yes ginger cookies will work but you would need to eat alot of them, best thing to do is buy some ginger root and slice off a sliver and try and get her to ingest it somehow, depending on her size you don't wanna give her a bunch all at once because it will make her sleepy aswell, just give her a little piece at a time, okay now, phenergan is for nausea yes, but the reason people get motion sickness is because of a chemical and neurotransmitter called acetylcholine which is the only neurotransmitter used in the motor division of the somatic nervous system, Ginger and dramamine are believed to block this transmitters effects on the inner ear which helps maintain your sense of coordination, balance and position which gets thrown off in some people when riding in cars or boats etc... SO try ginger because it's all natural in small doses to see if that helps, if not go to ur pharmacy and get some dramamine and give her the recommended dose and im 99% positive that will work. I hope this helps you and good luck :D
