I have no thyroid function, have Addison’s, hepatitis autoimmune,am diabetic, show grins now high blood pressure 215/191 a couple of days ago. Is this drug safe from me? I have read hair raising comments about this drug and due to past experience do not trust GPs. I have read that this medication is not good for people suffering from autoimmune illnesses. I am now desperate because I have been prescribed drugs in the past that have really made me very ill and had to come off them - I really do not feel that I can go through the same scenario again.
Lisinopril is in a group of drugs called ACE inhibitors. It is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Generally, lisinopril is well tolerated and safe to take.
