hrs. as needed for pain. It was filled on 10/14/2011. There is 1 refill on the prescription. Can I call in for this refill today?
I dont think they will fill it yet. If you are to take one every 8 hours that is three per day so 90 pills is a 30 day supply so you wont be due until 11/13/11. They will say it is too early. If you are finding that 50mg every 8 hours is not holding you then you should talk to the prescriber. Perhaps he will allow 1-2 every 8 hours or put you on something that works better for you. You should not take any more than 400mg in a 24 hour period. Doses higher than 400mg a day can lead to seizures. If you are out so soon you may be taking too many.
1 tablet every 8 hrs. means you can take 3 per day... 90 pills should last you 30 days. I doubt you can get this filled until 30 days from 10/14/11... according to my calendar, you're looking at November 13th if you are allowed 1 pill every 8 hours. The DEA considers this a controlled substance I believe, so you won't be able to fill it until the exact date which they determine by what you said the written dosage is.
Slow down on them and take OTC's in between if you are in severe pain. Only other alternative is to switch to another med if you need something for your pain before the allotted refill date.
Peace and luck to you...
Im not sure how it is in your state , but where i live, i could get my refill if i wanted, even though it wasnt time, it was just that my insurance would not cover it. i had to pay out of pocket. but yeah if they arent working or you seem to need to take more to regulate your pain, then talk to your doctor
To be honest with you No they wont if you count 28 days from the 14 that will be the day you can get them on because I just asked this question and pple who answered where absolutely right. If you are experiencing that much pain then you could switch to another med if it isnt working for you but yes 27 or28 day would be right.I wish you all the best and hope you feel better.
