I have a horrible sciatica, right side low back pain that has plagued me since 2001 and every year it gets worse. No doctor I have seen knows what to do. I have tried everything i can including muscle relaxants, eastern medicine, pain killers, Cymbalta, stretching, exercise... nothing works. Has anyone out there experienced the same and came out with better results?
Have you had an MRI of the lower spine or seen a neurologist? It sounds like you have either a stenosis or compression of the L5 S1 nerve root. I have had this for 44 years due to a bad surgery that left damage to my nerves in my spine & they can do nothing for me surgically anymore. They treat the pain. You need to find the right doctor to check you out & find the cause in you back & then get the correct treatment...
Hi Anna, you beat me to the punch on your question about sciatica pain. I was just going to ask the same question. I fell down a flight of stairs too many times, first time fractured my cochyx. It just got really cold here and that takes the pain up too many notches for me. I can offer my sympathy but not much in help. My chiropractor used to help but I can't do that anymore. Mary's advice is right on.Best Wishes to you, minda
I have nasty nerve pain on my right side and my left but worse on my right side, lower back, and shoulders. I am unable to lift my right arm straight up without pain in the shoulder and that makes it hard to put shirts, coats, and jackets on, I don't dare try to do a handstand against a wall at this point, that would cause lots of pain. I don't don't feel much better than before I started my med.s physically, the Gabapentin causes you to act confused and disoriented if you skip a few days when you run out and are waiting for a day to call pharmacy to refill, (if u run out on a Friday, call it in on Saturday, u have to wait until Monday to pick it up or get it delivered).
