... to prevent this? and i use cirezine tablet which is of no use.so plz suggest me drug which is effective
Do you experience rhinitis from allergies? If so I would suggest an antihistamine. I like Cetrizine Hydrochloride (Zyrtec) myself but what works for one may not work for another. You could also try Loratadine (which is Claritin or Alavert) If you need a decongestant as well as the antihistamine Claritin D is a good one but you have to ask for it at the pharmacy counter -it is over the counter but it is "watched" because people use the decongestant portion, pseudoephedrine, to make methamphetamine. They will ask you to sign for it and may ask for ID as well. They watch to make sure no one person is buying in mass quantities. There is also Fexofenadine hydrochloride (Allegra) another antihistamine. These are all non-drowsy antihistamines. There are also the older antihistamines but they cause more drowsiness-Diphenhydramine (Benedryl), Promethazine (Phenergan) this one is an Rx not OTC, and chlorpheniramine maleate (Chlor-Trimeton). These are usually a little more shorter acting and cause more drowsiness. Hope this helps some.
Treatment of persistent rhinitis depends on the cause - whether it is allergic or non -allergic.
Allergic rhinitis is usually treated by avoiding the cause of the allergy, antihistamine nose sprays, antihistamine tablets, and steroid nose sprays.
Non-allergic rhinitis may be successfully treated with a steroid nasal spray or short term use of a decongestant tablet or nasal spray.
