... sleep, I have had steroid shots, prednisone, plaquinel, benedryl every 2 hours. Nothing discourages them. Have put ketchup, creams of all types, even Sarna, a lotion used for burn patients with itching skin. HELP!
There are a couple of more meds I can suggest you try, I know you are frustrated, Vistaril and Buspar are both considered antihistamines and are used as tranquilizers. Sounds like maybe you should try to find out if you are having an allergic reaction and getting the hives as a result or if it is stress and anxiety. I watched my daughter break out is hives when we had to tell her her Gran Gran died and they continued for several months. You might also seek a hypnotist if you are desperate, sounds like you might be. Also talk to a pharmacist, they are the TRUE experts on medication.
Hello Sundance_kid - I see your post is over a year old. I too had recurring hives - chronic ideopathic urticaria - said all the doctors - gave me all your treamtents and still had hives. However, I finally found a cure. If you are still suffering from hives, please repost or contact me. Thanks!
