and done a t3 and t4 test. The medicine she prescribed me is Topazole and from what i understand this is for Hyperthyroidism. Did she possibly make a mistake om my medication? should i take this before meeting with her monday?
Since it is after 5:00 p.m., I would check w/ Pharmacy--I have hypothyroidism & have taken levoxine, levothyroxine, & synthroid to name a few I can recall over the last 35+ years since I was diagnosed. I am unfamiliar with Topazole--I looked it up on this website & did not see it. I think that if you are seeing her Monday, you may want to hold off taking Topazole if you suspect it is the incorrect drug, as I do. I know one thing, it takes several weeks for this type of med to get into your system & affect your hormone level--so a couple of days won't matter.
Here is a link to a great site on thyroid issues altogether. I found it when I was confused at what I thought were backward results too. You cannot go on TSH results alone, you have to look at all 3 parameters.
