She is on 150 mg fentanyl patch and 10mg perc.120 month for 8 years for fibromyalgia. I am on 25mg patch going up to 50mg end of month and 10mg oxycodone (no tylenol) 90 month for fibro, major intestinal issues, thyroid dysfunction and partial removal a couple weeks ago with very abnormal cells. I am able to get my scipt up to 4 days early and usually wait until 28-29 days. She picks her scipt up every month at 25 days and they are always so nice to her and she never has any issues even when she went earlier than that last month they offered to give her a few to hold her over! So I got my scipt filled 2 days early and it said 34 day supply this time and i have to wait to get my scipt filled longer now? They keep asking me questions like why are you on such strong meds and they can see I have a hole in my throat and a 4 inch incision and still try to make me wait until 30 days is up. I don't want to get my friend in trouble but would like to ask them why I get treated differently than (others I know). We also have same doctor and met when I moved next door to her which was all a coincidence. I'm just feel it is unfair what do you think?
It does seem unfair practice. Do you have a different insurance than your friend, sometimes insurance companies have different policies about narcotics as to how early you can pick them up? Does she know the pharmacist personally? That may be an issue too even though it shouldn't be. In most states you can't pick up narcotics or any meds before a certain time. I would find out what your local laws are and if you keep getting questioned about it you can quote the law to the pharmacist. I hope this helps some and good luck with your situation it sounds very complicated and a touchy situation. I don't want you to lose a friend but you need to look out for you to just be careful. I will be thinking of you.
