It is kinda speckled and about the size of a an Advil, but it has no coating and is coarse.

Your pill may also be Senokot, an over-the-counter laxative.
Pill imprint S has been identified as Senokot (sennosides) 8.6 mg. It is round and brown with the speckled appearance you describe.
