I was on suboxone for a year,my Dr. switched me to sub 3 months ago,I started at 24mg and tapered to my present 8,I am hoping for some experience on this matter.Thank you.
What up Man? I too was on the 8-2mg Subs 4xDaily. I got a buddy who claims he can take just a 1/4 of one, and is good all day?? I question it but everyones a lil Diff. and hes kinda a tool. I got another Buddy who was on Subs and tapered off completely. No matter what type, strength, dose of an opiate one is takin, u will have some form of withdrawing, nothing compares to the mental aspect of wantin something. I hope u gotta good mindset and u will be strait.
This is a strong dose. I was at this same dose for 5 years.
Roberts taper plan, which is on the forum, is a good blueprint for how to taper.
I applied his plan for most part, and right now am 9/10 days clean.
But even with the taper, I am not feeling human yet. My legs are like gello.
And I feel every fiber in my body is heavy, like a thousand tons.
What I am saying is, WD from sub is doable, but everyone even with the taper reacts differently based in age, constitution, lifestyle, age, etc.
The sooner you get off, the better!
Hi and welcome to the site. I have been out of town for several days and did not see your question until just now.
If you are looking for a safe effective taper plan you can contact Pattishan61. If you click on her avatar she has written her testimony there and it is easy to follow. Some people have tried other plans and have found that they are way too fast and they either give up or have to go back and do it over and again.
The most important thing to remember is you will need to taper at a pace that is conducive for YOU and YOUR body and recovery.
I have 'friended' you and you are more than welcome to ask me a private question if you wish. This site is very supportive and we will be here for you.
My Best to you, Scout!
