A drug company was covering the meds, but their coverage stoped on the 16th. I've been trying to get it renewed but am having problems. She is waiting to hear from S. S. about SSI..She is 20 and also has aspergers syndrom but does not qualify for aid unles she qualifies for SSI. She is not able to get a job and because of her age is considered an adult.
You need to discuss this with her doctor and also see what sort of government programs can asist you with medication and also where you might be able to cut back in your budget- ie is smoking an issue that you could give up- if not what else? You don't give a lot of information on your situation but check locally first with what sort of social assistance is available based on your income. You can not ignore your child's health.Seizures can be life threatening. Her health must be a first priority. Nothing is more important than the health and well being of loved ones.
