i am taking the phentermine 37.5 tab i have lost 13 pounds so far but for the last week i have been stuck at the same weight i am drinking lots of water and excercising i am also getting the 12 shots does anyone have any suggestions for me on what to do
Congrats on your way to weight loss and now for some helpful info. I believe you added you have been taking since 12/22/09. Apologize if I missread, however 13 lbs is too much loss if you did start on that date because it's less than a month. I am no doctor but 4 lbs a week is a max and 1-2 is probably preferred. I've been taking Adipex 37.5 since the end of march 2008 and have lost 40 lbs. I loose now 1-2 a month, but I don't take it every day. I'm just trying to maintain at this point. Since it's your first month and you are excersing I'd say 13 lbs is as good as it will get your first month. Don't over do it though. Your Dr. If he's doing it correctly will monitor you every month and that is to inssure you don't abuse Your medication or have specific reactions that could indanger your health. Dramatic weight loss is not healthy for many reasons, it can effect a females hormones, menstral cycle, personality and much more. In regards to shots, I am not sure what those are. I don't take shots, I only take the pill first thing before 8am. For my situation I have hypothyroidism and take synthroid as well. Also from personal experience, my first month I lost 10 lbs with Adipex and never worked out. I physically am unable to do to much working out, only fast walking or water arobics, which I don't have time for, a single parent and working full time. Sorry for all the info, but mainly each month you will loose less as your body becomes use to the medication. If you continue to loose 10-13 lbs a month you will likely be taken off the medication. Again, I'm no doctor and you should speak with your doctor about what his expectations are for your weight loss goal. Only a Dr can advise you and every persons height, weight and current health status will factor in and ultimately have different results for each individual. 13 lbs is awesome but will probably not be realistic every month. So speak with your Doc. Hope this info helped. Good luck and take care.
