im in college and havent done this myself before, do i need any paperwork that says i have ADD?
I'd be safe and send a letter requesting your medical records from the doctor who treated you for ADD prior to going to college. You can also just show them an old prescription bottle for Vyvanse to prove you've gotten the diagnosis.
Alternately, you could just go back home and ask your previous doctor for a 3 month supply of Vyvanse. Or you could call his/her office and ask them to write you a script and send it to you (docs unfortunately, cannot call in to pharmacies for Schedule 2 drugs).
When I was in college, I used to see my doctor during fall break, after the semester, or spring break, or during the summer, and he would write me 3 month supplies for my ADD meds (Adderall XR and Adderall IR booster).
Most college student health centers won't prescribe stimulants, in my experience. You could try to find a doctor in the area who specializes in ADD (a psychiatrist or neurologist would be able to treat ADD).
