You need to let your doctor aware of your concerns. The doc is aware that medicines lose their effectiveness after being on them. I have changed my pain meds a few times. I also have a contract, but that's a good thing. That assures the doc that you aren't seeing multiple pain docs, or worse yet, doctor hopping. Just be honest, it isn't your fault that the med isn't working and you certainly deserve the right to have your pain managed. Good Luck:)
