This was a strong pain-killer of one solid color, eggplant, that I took after wrist surgery around 1988. I don't remember any side effects and I'd like to find out what it was. It was a capsule shape and dark purple, large-ish size, about 1/2 inch or so. Trying to find a pain-killer that doesn't make me feel sick and this one seemed to work well, but I don't remember what it was. Thx.
Unfortunately a lots of pills change and packaging changes as well, especially given the time frame of 22 years.
You could try your doctors to see if they have a record of what was prescribed but otherwise read the literature supplied with your current pain killer. Some are tolerated better if taken with food.
