You'll have to experience some withdrawals before you can take your first few doses of Suboxone so be prepared but other than that I would expect it to go smoothly. To read about the process you can go to:
Also on you tube there are a couple videos that one of our members likes to recommend. A two part video by the Suboxdoc and one by Maple2609. These are very informative and explain how suboxone works. Pattishan61 is the member to whom I referred and she will respond to you soon.
Good luck and keep us posted,
Please wait at least 24 hour after your last opiate use before you take the subs, it is important not to cheat and take any opiate, benzos or muscle relaxers before your induction. Once you get your first dose, you will feel relief in as little as 20 minutes, it might take 45 minutes, at 1 hour mark after first dose you will feel good at the 2 hour mark, you will feel better than you have in years. Take a friend ir loved one with you to the appointment for moral support and because you may be pretty tired while in wd before the visit and not want to drive to the dr. I just remember being too tired to write, but wasn't too miserable. I promise, you'll be fine. Do yourself a huge favor and do the addiction therapy, will be best thing for you, promise. Patti
