will I be able to ride my bike (currently 50 miles a week) and work on an assembly line where I have to think quickly and repetively with little room for error. I was formerly a long distanstance truck driver and assume that is gone forever. Will I ever drive again? Life is changing and I'm uncomfortable
Hopefully the dilantin will get your seizures under control. As long as you have uncontrolled seizures it is not recomended you drive or work around machinery, but if the drug keeps the seizures in control you can once again do these activites with permission from your neurologist. Rules vary in different places about how long you must be seizure free. No one can predict if you can gain complete control of seizures or what side effect you will have based on your reaction to the drugs but at least you are trying something new for you in hopes of improvement. This is such a frustrating disorder and very hard to deal with as it varies so much with each person so there are no sure answers as to what will work or how well. Best wishes.
