... Currently using Ferosmide 20mg for edema, however it doesn't help; family doctor thinks it's "OK" even though much discoloration from ankles to knees. Any ideas out there to releive the edema with natural methods? Cannot tolerate herbs. Thanks. Lillian
You need to make sure you take the Lasix your doctor gave you .. Are you taking Potassium? The discoloration is normal with the problem you have. Keep your legs up above your heart as much as you can. Do you see a Cardiologist? If not I would add this to your list. Also check out this site as it shows you pictures and explains the problem very well. http://www.medicinenet.com/aortic_stenosis/article.htm
I wish you the best
