I have a boyfriend of a year and we have sex a few times a week. This is my first month on this birth control. I have taken my birth control on time, except maybe a few hours later on slight occasion. I had unprotected sex after the seven day recommended time frame and started on the "Day 1 Starter" plan. I have been experiencing dizziness, nausea, and bloating. I am on my second "brown" pill and have yet to have my period. I am very nervous, because before my birth control I had very regular periods lasting seven days. I am very nervous as to whether or not I'm pregnant. Should I be concerned or is this just because my body is still adapting to the medicine?
pvtpenguin09, If you don't want to be pregnant I would go out and get an at home pregnancy kit, they are pretty accurate. If you are pregnant get with an OB/GYN and diiscuss what you will do if you are preganant as there are many choices. Starting birth control will change your cycle somewhat but if you do not feel right or sure of everything, please go to the dr. Hope this was helpful. Fall Queen
It may be because your body is just getting used to the pill. If you are too concerned about a pregnancy then I would get a test done soon, especially if you have any doubts at all. There are clinics everywhere and most of them will test for free or you can get a home test and see what that says. If the test comes back positive then you have to immediately stop the pill and get to an OB/GYN and get the appropriate help for yourself and the unborn child that your carrying. If you don't want the baby there is several options you can take and your doctor should be able to help you decide what is right for you. You can also go to a clinic that deals with young pregnant women and they sometimes have good people to talk to so you can decide what to do. Hope this has helped some and good luck, let me know how it turns out if you wouldn't mind. I do care my dear so I wish you the best
