... Doctors and several nurses tell me it by far the lowest they had ever seen. They started me on cypionate one ml every other week I had my first shot four days ago. I have been suffering from a very dark very strong depression I've read that the side effects of this treatment can be depression and anxiety but my doctor seems to think that the treatment will help he actually said I wasn't even producing any testosterone so it would be impossible not to help with the depression. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you

Thanh you very much for your response. You say your 65 now and started HRT at 45 do you remember exactly what medication and doseage you were prescribed at first? Thanks for the advice on weekly shots and adding Decadurobolin. I'm guessing that this may be a lifetime thing with me. I just want to do anything I can to get the best and quickest results as this ordeal has been very difficult for my wife as well. Again thanks for your time.
Hi, Gulf Stream,
I am 65 and had the exact same problems as you. My testosterone blood level was 201 with 335 being low normal. I was prescribed AndroGel 1.62% - 4 pumps/day. It took awhile to work up to 4 pumps/day to get to a 425 testosterone reading, but I am full of energy, sexual interest is WAY UP, and I am not depressed any more. I do have to watch roid rage because I feel free floating anger some days.
I used to take the injections like you are taking when I was 45, but weekly with 200 mg. decadurabolin and 200 mg. testosterone cypionate. This combo is the lowest therapeutic dosage I've heard of - if anything I'd ask for 1) weekly injections 2) add the decadurabolin and 3) a B12 shot as well. You'll be superman in the gym as well as in bed - I promise you - I've been there, I know! Do be advised over time your penis will get much larger and your balls will shrink. You must exercise to get the full benefit of HRT (hormone replacement therapy.)
All the best, and welcome to living again!
I am a 33 years old and was actually told the exact same thing. My doctor, and the guy at the lab that does the test, said its very rare the he sees numbers that low, especially on someone my age. My free testosterone was 61 and my total was only 4.2. I had absolutely no energy and my depression was horrible!! My psychiatrist is actually the one that said I should get it checked because she had me try 11 different depression meds over the last couple years and low T can cause depression. I started on a half ml of testosterone cypionate injection and didn't notice much. Now that my Dr finally got my dose straightened out, my levels are staying steady. It seems as though my energy has increased alot, especially compared to what it was, and my depression is finally under control. I take 5ml a month, which makes My dose 1.25ml a week. I feel it is helping a little, but I will be going to see an endocrinologist next month to find out what other options there are for the symptoms that haven't gotten better. I got referred because my MRI showed that I do have a tumor on my pituitary gland, like most guys with low testosterone. My prolactin is 38, which is very high, considering the range is 2.5-17.4. Hopefully this endocrinologist can figure something out without having to do surgery!! Good luck to jou.
