I am not a health care professional so I will just say what I think since I take micardis also. As long as you have not taken anything out of the blister caps, I don't see anything wrong with taking the medicine the way you stated to finish out your program. Just take the amlodipine along with the 40mgs like you have always done but don't take the micardis out of its blister caps until you are to take it right away. It should work the same as before. That is what I would do.
